Yeah, the trim is Danze Sheridan, brushed nickel. See spec sheet:

Zoom in on the photo and you can see the hot / cold font is the same.
That’s the one! Same shower head even. Thank you.

Wow. Finally . nice job.

Hope you find a replacement .

If you can wait a couple days use the old cartdrige and call the manufacture and they may send you a new one at no charge. Don't know about danze but other main brands do. Worth a shot.

Thanks for the advice @jmon! I called Gerber and even though I am not the original home owner they are sending me a replacement as a courtesy. Just had to pay $7.95 shipping.

For the next person that has this same problem:
Danze Sheridan Brushed Nickel Single Handle Tub and Shower Combination Faucet INCLUDES Rough-in Valve model #D510055. Replacement Shower Cartridge Danze part #A507107 as given to me by Gerber Customer Support. Online search lists it as #DA507107.
Thanks for the good info @jsetche. Complete part numbers and everything. I'm sure this thread will help others as well.

Glad Gerber was able to help you out with a free one. Doesn't hurt to ask, the worse they can say is no, right.

Installed new cartridge today. Followed the Danze How to install a cartridge instructions. Had some leaking just like I had with the old cartridge. So I tightened the brass nut until the leak stopped, which was well beyond hand tight and not even mentioned in the instructions. It appears to be repaired and will check periodically today until I feel comfortable that it will not leak. However, I also realized that if I would have tightened the brass nut with the old cartridge, it would have also fixed the leak. Oh well, learned something new and have a new cartridge!

UPDATE: 30 minutes after the previous post, water started leaking from around the brass nut. Cut the water off and removed the nut. Put some teflon tape on the threads, reinstalled nut and cut the water on. So far, seems to be leak free. But I am checking it every 15 minutes.

@jsetche That was probably the issue in the first place, just loose as goose. Lol.

The cartridge locking nut has to be tight and snug with a wrench not just hand tight. You don't have to go crazy tight, but tight enough that it shouldn't be leaking.

It won't hurt as long as you don't use too much, but in my experience, I have never used pipe tape or dope on cartridge locking nut threads, never had any problems. Just saying.

If it doesn't leak anymore, call it day. You win. Glad it's fixed. Nice job.
