All

I am building a 12x28 patio cover over my existing slab. Footings have been poured, inspected, and passed. It’s time to start framing.
This is almost identical to what I want to build.

My concern is at the end of the porch where my soffit/roof will extend past the corner of my vinyl house. Any advice on how to make this look good and keep it sealed up from water. Do I cut the vinyl corner? Thanks in advance.

That is kind of your choice
Easiest is to put the post and gable right beside that roof so you can just slip the step flashing under those shingles.
And then run the fly rafter one foot more or like it up with the edge of the slab so it is over that roof.
Do you have a plan for that other roof with the metal roof?
The gazebo is gone! I sold it.

would you remove the metal flashing on this side of it? it has an offset of 45deg on it

Hmm, I am guessing the ceiling of the new will match this some what so this will just be a guess.

See if you can make something of this, I have made ceiling match the return on the fireplace and the ceiling in under that roof.

If you do 9ft the match the over hang then the ceiling material will want to match that overhang.
Making the ceiling just a little lower might make it easier to deal with but the rim joist might be at 9' 5" as you measure from the slab not the top of the floor? The top of the floor will be about 1 1/2" above the bottom of the siding.
It's a tricky one.

To go a little high you might leave that roof but go thru the plywood .
