supporting a 275 gallon water container

Hey all

I recently got a 275 gallon IBC tote still in the metal cage and on the pallet. I am using it for rainwater so its gonna weigh over 2000lbs when full. I want to make sure its sturdy and supported.

Its gonna be sitting in a grass area. What do you guys think is my best bet for support. concrete blocks? treated 6x6 ?

No i dont really want to pour a pad for it to sit on.

Any thoughts??

I'd dig down a few inches and put down a few inches of pea gravel or compacted AB3 whatever you do. On top of that you could put pavers, blocks, treated wood, whatever. The gravel will help facilitate drainage and will keep the tank from sitting directly on the soil.
