Sump pump install on prior radon mitigation site

Hi all,

I had a radon mitigation system on the unfinished side of basement--
previous pics here : Radon mitigation system side vent to roof vent
to bring it up to code-- i had the system moved and brought up to code.

Attached are the pics of what remains after moving out the radon mitigation system :

I would like to have a sump pump installed here as there is an existing hole in the basement floor -- dont have the exact measurements of the pit but it could be about 2 feet deep. The radon mitigation guy said he could install a sump pump there for around 375$.

I got a quote from another basement waterproofing company who gave me a quote for 2750$ .

As u can see there's already a hole in the ground, there's and existing electrical connection and also an outlet for the sump pump pipe to go out.
Any ideas on how to go about doing this cheaply and efficiently without getting ripped off.
Thanks!

Interesting observation. I see what you mean.

I just bought the home a year ago.. no mentions in the seller disclosure about prior sump pumps. They lived here for 20 plus years.

Why would somebody convert a sump pump to a radon system back then..
If they did. I guess that's a good thing meaning they didnt really need the sump pump.

Maybe the house still failed the radon test.
It does look like you have a water problem in the corner, it would take that much to put the drain in just for that corner.
