Hi Everyone, total noob here. We're moving out and, having removed the TV and mount from the wall I have these 4 bolts sunk deep into the wall.
If I unscrew the central bolt it will turn and can be pushed into the housing but how to do about actually removing the whole bolt / screw from the wall (short of getting a chisel and digging a fist sized hole around each :)

Any advice massively welcome.

Thanks
Steve

The sleeve must have been part of or attached to something else more rigid and in turn attached to building structure.

Otherwise it was never safe to have mounted a TV set on that sleeve; ithe TV, sleeve, and all could have pulled out of the wall and fallen to the floor.

How to remove the sleeve depends on how it was put there originally.

Don't sledgehammer the sleeve further into the wall, you could break something such as cinder block structure behind the wall surface.

Rules vary from place to place, but was this addressed in your Agreement of Purchase and Sale? Are you required to remove it? If so, are you required to repair the wall? Think about the times when you have bought a home and holes in the walls and trim from curtain rods, pictures, etc. If it was listed as an 'exclusion', I'd be tempted to leave it.

If that truly is a sleeve anchor, you can hammer the bolt into the wall and that will straighten the anchor back to the shape it was when inserted.
Then it will pull right out.....unless the anchor is bottomed out in the hole.
