I recently bought Lowe's pre-finished Polystyrene white oak trim for around my interior doors. I had the assumption that the finish on these trim pieces were already primed and ready for paint. I started painting one piece of trim and found that the paint did not want to stick to the surface of the trim. The paint would would lay on alright, but the paint would then retract leaving spots all over the board uncovered, as if the paint is not bonding to the surface.
Anyone want to chime in as to what I'm doing wrong before I attempt anything else?
