Permeable geotextile fabric

Please accept my apologies to those who found my drain tile post difficult to understand and thanks to those that tried to address the problem. All I need now is a source for a permeable fabric. I know I can find a good product at a site like Sandbaggy for about $100 but I only need 20 ft. Will any of the fabrics at home depot or lowes work as a permeable drain tile wrap? I want this to work and am willing to rebuild it but am trying to not spend more than I need to spend. If I need to dish out for the real McCoy I will however, I want it done right.

I don't see why most any landscape fabric would do the job. You mainly want water to go in and out, and debris/mud to stay out.

One tip about that product: it will tear if you snag it on something like a tree root and pull on it, so you don't want to drag it around more than necessary.

Have you taken a piece of the current fabric you're using and run water on it to visibly see how well or not it drains? If not, I'd do that to make sure the current fabric is the actual problem instead of just the install of wrapping the pipe five times or whatever.
