I have a Peachtree double-hung window that I need to paint. I can remove the bottom grill without an issue. But I cannot remove the top sash's grill. I have tried this on a few different windows so it looks like the issue is inherent in all the windows. It almost seems like the grill is glued to the sash. The bottom grill is easily removed by removing a few screws and lifting it up. These windows were installed in 1995.
