Painint before machineing

Hey Guy's!

I am building some simple shelving in the garage from SYP plywood which will be painted. I have it ripped in16" X 8' strips and am thinking before I route grooves for shelves and saw to length and assemble I should paint it? Sure would be a lot easier.

I'm priming with Kilz latex and finishing with a latex semi gloss.

Seems like a good idea, any thoughts? JIm

Since no one know what those shevles are going to look like were just going to have to guess.
I see no problum with it, just going to have to do some touch ups when done.
I'd be concidering using enamel paint on garage shevles.
Far tougher paint.

Worked out well, painting went quick with roller. Then sawed and routed, used a respirator, just in case. I do not think I would do this with something nice.
