Have to add new vent to a room I'm redoing as the old one was done poorly. I had gotten some advice to use a boot with a flange but the store didn't have any and I would rather not wait for shipping.
I'm also guessing since nothing in store had a flange it's not as common. Am I supposed to cut the end and fold back flanges? Don't I need something for the grille to screw into? I'm guessing this is a simple question but couldn't figure out the correct Google wording. Thanks!
