laying rubber landscaping tiles

I've pulled up the old grass and semi levelled out the dirt. Now should I spread crushed rock?....then sand?....then lay landscaping fabric all before placing the rubber tiles? Or can I just put the fabric down and fill in the dips with sand, then place the rubber tiles on top of that? Any thoughts/suggestion? Thanks

i'm going to say again. i don't think sand is good for flexible rubber tiles. but thats just me.

24'x6' = at least 3 tons(thats not nearly as much as you would think). and i would get 4 tons = its not much more expensive, and its better to have too much, than not enough.

and it must be compacted. otherwise the patio will feel a little mushy.

LOL I don't have the sand anymore, gave it to a neighbour, so I will only be going to get the crushed road gravel. I think 2 yards should do it but can always go back and get more (have a F450) Will be renting a compactor to use too. Thanks for all the quantity calculations, I've never been a math whiz  As for "glueing" the rubber tiles, the ones I have are 2' x 2' and only about 1/2 thick so more like mats than tiles and didn't come with any glue. The area is completely framed with landscaping ties so they will push up against them and not be able to move around. I'll rake off another inch or so more dirt before covering it with fabric and loading and compacting the gravel. Sound good? Thanks for all your comments and advise. :) You've all been great help.
