I want to stain my PT fence next weekend but the temperatures are in the lower to mid 90's. My fence has not been stained or treated in any way yet. I read an article that stated:
"If it is warmer than 25ºC or if the surface to be stained is very hot to the touch, the stain will not have time to penetrate the wood deeply or blend with the former stain, which will lead to peeling. Furthermore, if the stain dries too quickly, it is difficult to apply and does not produce the desired finish, leaving behind brush marks and an uneven look".
Is that an accurate statement? What do you fellas recommend? I really want to get this project done but if it's going to look like garbage I'll definitely wait until fall.
