We have mold growing on the wood, vinyl and duct-work on the shaded sides of our house. What is a good way to remove it?

If you pressure you will be just moving the mold to some other area.
If you apply the D/2 Cleaner you will kill the mold root system.
If you read the instructions I do remember it stating that you apply it than wait the time period as per instructions than rewet and wash. I have also used it on moss on brick pavers & did not wash it off it killed all the moss.

I see that all the time in the southeast. Not really mold but mildew. Bleach is my go to cleaning product for exteriors. Real bleach should be cut in half with water although some of the generic brands are watered down and shouldn't be cut that much. I wet the siding/house, spray on the bleach solution with a pump up garden sprayer, let it set but not dry and rinse with a pressure washer. A garden hose can be substituted for the PWer.

When cleaning a house you don't want to rely on pressure to do the cleaning. It's a good aid but shouldn't be the primary means of cleaning. Chemicals [bleach, TSP. etc] do a better job. Besides possible damage to the wood, too much pressure runs the risk of forcing water behind the wood with a risk of damage from the water.

My main objection to electric PWers is the fact that water and electricity don't mix. Normally the extra pressure available with a big gas PWer isn't needed for residential work.

'Spray and Forget' from HD might be worth a shot, mostly because it's so convenient.

Or, if you have a hose-end sprayer with the dial on it, you can set it for the strongest setting which I think is 8oz/gal and use laundry bleach and a squirt of liquid dishwashing soap. Spray it on, let it sit 15m, then rinse it off.

As another poster mentioned, Jomax is great stuff. You mix it with regular bleach and water and then spray it on. The formula is on the bottle for how much Jomax solution and bleach to use per gallon of water. I use a tank type garden sprayer to apply it. Then you let it sit a few minutes and wash it off. Our local Lowes carries it.
