Hostas under black walnut trees

I've got 7 black walnut trees, prolly 10 years old.
I've got 20, maybe more, hostas that need to be moved.
I've read on the web, might not be a good idea to plant much of anything around black walnut trees. The nuts can be some what toxic. All 7 provide a decent amount of shade which would be good for the hostas vs. their current location.

Hoping someone here knows more than I and the web(grin).

Thanks much...Don.

Move or eradicate

I have to cut down black walnut trees adjacent to our garden plot, due to the toxins. Nothing will grow there. No love lost, though, as I hate the smell and taste of black walnuts.

Hostas are probably the most tolerant plant out there with regards to being moved. They latch on and grow.
