Help repairing a small table lamp

Hey guys,
I've had a small stained glass table lamp by Quoizel that I bought probably 20 years ago. It no longer works and I'm pretty sure it's the two way switch. The switch failed about 15 years ago and I took it back to the lighting store that I purchased it from and they did the repair. The store is no longer there and I'd like to do this myself. The lamp has a 12 volt transformer at the plug.

I'm attaching three pics showing the lamp (pic found on internet - same lamp, different stained glass shade), the bottom of the switch showing three wires, 2 red and 1 black, and the transformer. If anyone can tell me where to find one of these switches it would be most appreciated.

Can you tell us more about the switch? Is it mounted in the base? Is it a ON-OFF-ON type rocker switch like this one? I assume the lamp has low and high light settings.

Thanks for the reply. Yes, the switch is mounted in the base. It is as you describe, off in the center position, and either high or low depending on which side you press. Pic of switch attached.

It's probably a SPDT on-off-on switch like the one from Grainger, or this one from Amazon. One thing to double check is the physical dimensions of the mounting hole. They come in several sizes.

Before you settle on a switch, make sure the amperage is adequate. You need a switch that can handle a minimum of 12VAC at 5A. Shouldn't be too hard to meet that.

Can you zoom out a bit in the first photo ?
Need to see more of the wiring to understand what ius going on !
i see the white wires which i assume go to thr light bulb
I see also what appears to be three contacts,
which would be right for a SPDT switch
but i also see a red wire that goes in beside the switch.
At what point does the white wires connect in
thats why I want to see more.
also what do they do to acheive high / low !

somethings missing !

We had one of those years ago... got it for my daughter when she was in HS. She accidentally touched the bulb once and got a nasty burn. We trashed the light.
