I am moving into a new house, and i want to install some smart door locks (Schlage Encode and Kwikset Halo Touch)

The battery life on the locks is atrocious, so thus i want to hardwire them if possible.

Is this an automatic fire hazard?

Could i do it? I would go get the assistance of my local electrician. I want to go to him with a game plan.

I found this thread and it was helpful :

Could i just buy something like this and split the wires to the battery packs of the locks ?? Positive to positive. Negative to negative.

Please don't make fun of me for complicating thee already time and test proven Door locks.

I know i can just get a normal old school mechanical lock. I just want to see if this is possible.
