Goodman A/C Contactor

I've had to clean cobwebs and dirt off the contactor a few times to get the A/C condenser working. Maybe it's time to replace the contactor?

According to the interwebs, original Part #B1360321 has been superseded by CY1XQ002AA (30A single pole) or CONT1P025024VS (30A double pole).

Any help on which is the correct part? Many thanks for your help.

The superseded part won't be any more resistant to dirt & cobwebs than the old part. Why would a replacement help?

This one should work.

The contacts get burnt and pitted after 17 years plus they sometimes stick.

Some replacement contactors have a cover over the plunger as to keep bugs and stuff from getting underneath.

Those covers do NOT keep the bugs out!..maybe a slight deterrent to larger bugs but I've seen plenty of Fire Ants under those little covers. I carry a 'Sealed Contactor' on my truck but that's where it will probably remain because I seriously doubt I will run into a customer with such a bad fire ant problem that they will be willing to pay at least 'Double' to have that one put in!:surprise:
