Glue or tape for cable raceway?

Please recommend something for cable raceway. Some parts of cable raceway cannot stick to drywall well, it keeps coming off every few days, the reason is the wall is not flat, some areas are bending out a little bit, that is why cable raceway cannot stick to the wall.

Just need some stronger tape or glue, only need a little bit extra force. Every time,it can stay for a few days, so just need a little bit extra force. The cable raceway has tape on itself, which makes it stick to drywall well only if the drywall is flat.

Take the cover off and install pan head screws into the studs, then replace the cover. Just don't bend the raceway. Allow it to lay straight and caulk where necessary to hide the bulge.

Thanks. I will find a small screw, the cable race is actually VERY VERY tight for cable. My HDMI cable is BIG, I barely can press in the cover.

Have you tried cleaning the drywall before taping or gluing?

It is newly renovated basement. It is clean. The wall is clearly un-flat.

Not sure if you can RR it and do it now, but I played around with all sorts of double faces tape redoing some mirror framing.... without satisfactory success.

I finally just went to contact cement..... but dont know if you could get it on there now that it is installed and has some glue tape on it.

Will contact cement damage drywall surface, if taking down cable raceway in the future?

Yes.... it could easily tear of paint, maybe paper, and leave residue.
