Hi all,
Have an old 40 gallon GE gas water heater bought 20 years back. It still works good after replacing the thermocouple a few years back.
The anode rod is already worn out though. So looking into getting a replacement anode rod.
The GE gas water heater is 56 1/2" tall (including the leg). Would a 3/4" 44" long anode rod like this below work? Or it needs a different anode rod?
Or this one:
The hard water level is around 220ppm. Not sure if aluminum is better or magnesium rod is fine.
Thanks.
