Flagstones: what to fill in the gaps?

Hello,

I want to fill the spaces in between the flagstones in mt backyard to keep the space clean and useable. Please see attached photo.

DG, concrete or something else? Please give specifics as I'm totally new to this. Particular type of DG, etc?

I want to put patio furniture in that space and when it rains which one won't look messy?

Which one is cost effective?

I'm digging out the broken concrete tiles that are there. For those that are really sunken into the ground, can I just leave them there and pour DG or concrete over it?

Appreciate your advice!

I tried out DG to fill the gaps in the stepping stones in a side yard, but I'm concerned it won't be easy to clean if I put it in the main patio area. I want something that is easy to clean by sweeping or spraying with water. What would you recommend? Is there a non-cracking mortar? On YT, saw some videos about Romex. Anything else if I can't find that brand.

Thanks!
