I had some "Soul Food Fish" at an eatery called "Fish Only" in LA, which consisted of fried fish, collard greens and garlic and "seasoned rice."

Good. Dunno how lucky, though.

The green is for money, the pork for prosperity ( pigs root forward, unlike turkeys & chickens) and the black-eyed peas are for luck.

So, if you want prosperity and luck. . .

It sounds like the pigs are hard-working!

 

Does not work for any North of the Mason-Dixon nor West of the Southern Rockies.
