Hello, I have a question regarding to the problem when polyurethane finishes with a cloudy haze.
I recently built a table, using OSB wood as my top, and painted the entire table with matte black paint & primer (exterior flat, deep base 4300) after a light sand with 220 sandpaper. After that, I then used the same type of paint but with different colors, garnet and gold, to paint out some designs on the table. Once the paint had dried for a day, I applied one layer of Interior water-based Polyurethane (crystal clear satin) over the whole table, using a roller. Two hours later, I applied a second coat, but this time, with Exterior water-based Spar Urethane (crystal clear satin).
Despite waiting two days for it to cure after application, the entire table top still has a cloudy, milky haze.
I've read many solutions that can fix this, like sanding it with 1000 grit sandpaper, applying vaseline, using a heat gun, coating it with lacquer and lacquer thinner mix, and spraying a blush.
Any suggestions for me that might be best suited to my situation? Thank you.
