Any hope for microwave with plastic burning smell

I have a Samsung over the stove microwave. It is about a year old. I got it from someone who redid their kitchen and replaced it even though it was relatively new. It has been installed for about 2 months here and now is giving off a burning odor after running for a couple of minutes. My senses say just get rid of it, but I wanted to see if there is anything I should look into before doing so. I have been bailed out from this forum before and thought I would try.

The burning smell is the insulation of the wiring so I would want to replace it before it causes a fire. You can also google on the model of the Samsung and see if others have reported this problem or if there is a safety recall for it.
