I'm buying an airless sprayer because of all of the large painting and staining projects I have in my future.
I was going to buy the Graco X7 after seeing the Idaho painter on Youtube review it. I understand that it is a consumer grade tool. While shopping for the X7, I noticed the ProX17 and thought oooohhh ahhhhh, more expensive, must be better and more "pro" grade.
One reviewer said that the tip was limited to a .017" and I'd like to know what practical limitations that translates into.
I know there are true professional grade sprayers around $1k but I can't really justify it.
Given my budget, would you guys recommend the ProX17 over the X7?
Does the cart justify the higher price on the X17? Does it make it easier to use with 5 gallon buckets? I notice that the cart allows for hose storage.
Can I run a short hose on these machines so that I don't waste a lot of paint if I'm rolling a room or spraying cabinets? Or is there any way to collect the paint left in the hose?
Thanks for any advice!
