Hello. This weekend I am going to be putting a gable roof over my front porch in will be redoing this weekend. I want the supporting 4x4 post to go into a 2-3foot stucco base.. I was going to attach the 4x4 to a song tube but if I am building out the frame for the stucco base what should I put on the ground for this? I don't want moister to get it or is the an easier method?
