Hello,

Our new house has a kitchen floor (tiled) that is about 1" higher than the adjacent room that has hardwood floor.

I looked into using the SimpleSolutions 4-1 floor transition. The manual states that it can handle only height difference of 15mm = .59 inches. Could I add a shim under the moldings?

Could someone suggest what options I should look into?

Thanks.

Based on the suggestion of a Lowe's rep, I put a seam binder under a reducer. There is still a small bump at the end, but I think the trip hazard is reduced now.

The wood stain I got didn't match the floor, but this is good enough for
That looks really good.
