Rewind to 1999.
Wife wanted a yucca planted along the road near some other vegetation which included 3 old pine trees, along w/other growing junk. I did the dead but that area ended up being a jungle of sorts. Yucca got buried in the clutter.

The 3 pine trees are dead. Time to clean it up. Found the yucca. Looks like it may have had babies....4 or 5 green sprouts in an otherwise brown landscape.

I did a google. Now is the time to do something with them.
Seems like it is a rhizome.
Seems like I can split the more dominant plant, prolly cut it in half.

Anyone ever play w/this type of plant?
Thanks much...Don.

I’ve dealt with them. There’s many kinds and most grow where it’s warmer; but there’s a few that make it in Ohio and Illinois.

Give it sun and room and it will spread. How about a picture, especially a combo full Monty and close up of leaves as Ms place where leaves join the crown.

Tried to transplant 2 of them, healthy plants, but the dirt out there was hard, tree roots and such. Dug it up the best I could. After a week or 3 I could tell the transplant was not gonna survive. Oh well...I tried.
Few weeks back I see these....

The dead transplants seemed to have sprouted babies.
Bigger plant = 4, other = 2 or 3.
We'll see if they survive the winter.
FWIW...Don.
