I have a friend who recently had some major water damage due to a burst toilet supply line. My own house is about 10 years old and my wash machine line is about 7 years old.

no leaks or anything currently but seen some TV ads and web posts about proactively replacing both types of supply lines and wanted to see what this group recommends

Should I replace with stainless steel braided lines or something different?
how often should these be replaced?

any other comments or recommendations would be greatly appreciated

very good point on the wash machine cycling and adding the wear/tear on the supply lines.

is there any recommended braided lines to use or are the home depot/lowes ones acceptable?
