Hi! I am new, I am about to install about 300sft of 12x24 porcelain tile on concrete. I have access to HD or Lowes. HD have their Versabond and Lowes have Mapei. The Versabond is about $14 and Mapei have their Porcelian thinset for $24 bucks. I want to use the best stuff so what are the difference?
Also, what trowel size should I use? I read that 1/2x1/2x1/2 is good for 12x24 porcelain tiles...but people from lowes and HD kept telling me to use 1/4 trowel. They look kind young and I don't think they have ever install any tiles lol.
