Raw concrete slab in addition basement (3 years old). I stained it with Valspar concrete stainer, 2 coats. Waited for a week or so, it was very slightly tacky by that time. Then I did a coat with Thompson water sealer, the one for multi surfaces (including concrete) that is milky at first but becomes clear with drying. Well, it became clear the next day, but....10 days later the floor is tacky as hell, windows are open, I have a fan circulating air 24/7, yet there is no drying. If I step it makes a sticky noise and leaves a shadow of a footprint. I know Thompson wasn't the best choice but this is ridiculous, it simply would not dry out. Is there anything I can do, another coat with something if I have to, just any solution, as I can't wait forever. I am in Boston Area, I blamed it on the hot and humid weather at first, but come on, if 10 days are not enough to become solid dry...yeah, I regret using Thompson, but it is a done deed now, how can I fix it (if at all)?
