Have two hot water heaters and two boilers(legal apt) in my boiler room. It fairly large and was thinking about putting a small compact stackable washer dryer for my tenants. Can this be done? Is this a DYI? What are things to consider such as cesspool filling up quicker etc. ? They have there own panel so I would run the electric from that . Thanks a lot.

I was kind of kidding. On the same ground level our washer machine is 2 room down and we have a PVC pipe that goes out the wall to a dry well. Maybe I can run a pipe out the window down along the house 10' and tie into that pipe!!??? Thx

No, you may not.

Running the drain line outside is a separate independent topic from installing a washing machine in a boiler room.

Also as a very general principle it is not desirable to give rental tenants unrestricted access to the furnace and other utility equipment of the building.

Separate water service and a boiler for each unit? Most likely legal.I would suspect--

--OP--post a picture of the available plumbing--drains and piping--
You may have an issue with the water lines---which unit will be paying for the water?

Just install a stand pipe from the washer to your floor drains and indirectly drain them. You can do that for washer under IPC, don't know about your area though.

You cannot send it out to the local environment untreated. But you can always look into a grey water holding system if you want to water your lawn.
