Hi,
I am trying to figure out the best way to create a nice step from my back door down to my new concrete patio. The height from threshold to patio is 11.25 inches. In the picture below, the proposed step appears grey, the patio is the crosshatch (diagonal). I was hoping to create a box step with 2x6 frame so the step will wind up about 7 inches high with an additional 4.5 inches into the house. The blue line is the expected path of someone using the door and depending on exact trajectory coud be a distance of between 18 inches and 30 inches.
I am worried that the step might be too wide and will be difficult to navigate. Hoping for some guidance on the best way to do this to make it a natural step and not be a tripping hazard.
Thanks
