Hey guys,
I'm planning on building a small pool deck to be used mainly to enter / exit the pool. I'm thinking something like 6'x6' with removable stairs leading up from the ground and then some store bought pool stairs connected to it by hooks from inside the pool. As this will strictly be used to access the pool, and not for sunbathing or sitting on for any length of time, I'm wondering if 2x6 pressure treated lumber would be adequate for the framing. I'll use cedar decking and be sure to use screws and joist hangars designed for pressure treated lumber. I'm attaching a pic that I found online that is about twice as big as what I plan on making, but gives you an idea of what I have in mind. Any tips or comments?
