Howdy.
I'm in the middle of getting ready to pull wire to my new home's Homeline Square D 200 amp disconnect from my all in one 200 amp Homeline All In One square D meter, a distance of approximately 125'. My previous electritian told me to get the appropriate wire, either 4/0 aluminum or 2/0 copper for the hot lines, and 2/0 aluminum or 1/0 copper for the neutral; which I did. The electritian is now gone due to personal needs elsewhere. Since then my new electritian says that I got the wrong wire, because the All In One panel requires a HOM2200 200 amp feeder circuit breaker which only accomodates a double pull of smaller wire!
What?! Upon trying to do some research I found he might be right, but, a Siemens QN2200R breaker that will do the same work and will accomodate #4/0 Aluminum might be substituted. Now, can I have my electritian install the Siemens breaker in my All In One meter box? If it will work I won't have to eat all that #4/0 aluminum I purchased:furious:.
