Remove tiles around sunken bathtub

Hello,
I am new to this forum and I hope that there is somebody out there that can help me.
I want to retile my master bath and have a sunken corner tub with tiles all around.
Originally the tiles were layed and the tub ledge is on top of the tiles.
What is the best way (tool?) to remove the old tiles around the tub without damagin the tub itself.
Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

someone else here may have a better answer, but i don't think it's going to be easy unless you pull the tub off the top of those tiles.

i'd use a 4" grinder w/.110" dri-diamond blade & finish the corner/wall cuts w/dremel & 5in1 tool,,, obviously you need to be precise & careful,,, you should use a GOOD dustmask, safety goggles, & faceshield,,, 1 hand on the grinder & the other holding the wet/dry vac hose :whistling2:
