i have a question about nails and the use of hangers(joist, rafter), i know there are special nails for going through the hanger into the joist and into a ledger or beam at 90 degrees to each, but my question is about those angled holes, is it acceptable to drive a sinker through that hole so that it not only goes through the joist but also into the mating member? or should those be the hanger nails too? im talking about houses not doing something like a deck.
