+1No you don't. THat's why some manufacturers even went so far as to print "DO NOT REMOVE" on theirs. It's in the nail zone which also gives the nail additional holding power.
Look at the shingles that blew off for clues. My guess is they were nailed too high, and probably with air guns set wrong which causes the nail to blow through the surface of the shingle.Hello, I'm trying to figure out why I have shingles falling off in a one year old home.
