How much do you need to add to the jamb? When adding to the inside a lot of time it interferes with the hinges preventing the door from opening more the 90 degress. I will normally remove the brick mold and add to that side.

 

I am assuming interior door. Plane the bevel flat.

 

If the are inside ones I would still add to the side opposite the hinge.

 

Just do the extension with a step back from the jam

 

If I'm looking at this correctly, the light grey block is the extension, and the cutout in the dark grey is the door stop? So, in effect, you have two bevels?

 

Worked like a charm. Used about 25 pocket screws per door but likely won't even have to caulk.
