Options for wiring unfinished basement outlets

Here are options I am considering for wiring 8 basement outlets at various wall locations:

12/2 NM Home run to large jbox, then to individual outlets, down 1/2 inch EMT to single gang box.

Or

12/2 NM Home run to first outlet, down 3/4 inch EMT to double gang box (for box fill) with single gang mud ring, and then back up to next outlet

Or

For each outlet, run TWWN from small jbox down 1/2 inch EMT to single gang outlet box, and run 12/2 NM from jbox to jbox

What are your thoughts, and what other options should I consider?

What would the pros do?

Note - this is part of a whole house rewire being done under permit.

Going to be a finished basement?
Studs for the walls up yet?
Where are you, adding it to your info would help with code questions like this.

I have to ask, what is the reason for mixing EMT and NM in the same wiring?
EMT in this instance is just a sleeve down the basement wall required to protect NM per 334.15(C)

(C) In Unfinished Basements and Crawl Spaces. Where cable is run at angles with joists in unfinished basements and crawl spaces, it shall be permissible to secure cables not smaller than two 6 AWG or three 8 AWG conductors directly to the lower edges of the joists. Smaller cables shall be run either through bored holes in joists or on running boards. Nonmetallic-sheathed cable installed on the wall of an unfinished basement shall be permitted to be installed in a listed conduit or tubing or shall be protected in accordance with 300.4. Conduit or tubing shall be provided with a suitable insulating bushing or adapter at the point the cable enters the raceway. The sheath of the nonmetallic-sheathed cable shall extend through the conduit or tubing and into the outlet or device box not less than 6 mm (ÂĽ in.). The cable shall be secured within 300 mm (12 in.) of the point where the cable enters the conduit or tubing. Metal conduit, tubing, and metal outlet boxes shall be connected to an equipment grounding conductor complying with the provisions of 250.86 and 250.148.

sure you can use EMT and it is good for this application but bending it takes some practice especially box offsets. You could fasten a vertical board (say a 2x4) to the concrete wall and mount a box on that and staple NM to the 2x4.
