I've got a room-full of branch circuit wiring to do for a remodel. As you can see, here:

I have a bunch of direct burial 12/2. Ok to use this indoors? (I'd probably use the grey stuff.)

I wouldn't. Do you know what a pain in the butt that stuff is to work with? Do yourself a favor and go to HD and buy the proper wiring to use. Wire the outlet circuit with 12-2, and the lighting circuit with 14-2.

*shrug* Wired-up the outlets and lights in the µBarn with the grey stuff. 12 ga. is a PITA to work with in the first place. IIRC that stuff was only marginally more annoying than normal 12/2 NM.

IIRC, it was I that wired-up the outlet the yellow stuff was used on. (Somebody else trenched it.) Don't recall that as being particularly annoying, either.

I'll strip some tomorrow to see if my memory is faulty :)

All that aside: The question remains: Other than the relative increase in effort involved in using it, is there any reason not to? Particularly wrt code issues?
