Oil burner flame ' puff ' noise

I just replaced the oil tank and supply line for my system.

bled the supply line, burner fires up. But I am noticing a ' puff puff ' sound from what sounds like the flame, and the damper gives a little bang

any insight on what this might be? should i try bleeding some more? ( i was getting a pretty good solid stream )

thanks

Could be the nozzle has some dirt in it. When is the last time it was cleaned and tuned.

bled the burner a little bit more, if there was any air left it is most def gone.

the ' puff ' is still there, but much fainter now.

but still there.

the chimney damper will be sucking like it should and then ' puff ' a short burst of air outwards.

I'd call the guy back that did the clean and tune. Sounds like it could be your nozzle. But can't say for sure without being there.

Think I may of solved my problem,

I think the seal was pretty poor around the filter and gasket, or just was not seated right. took it off, cleaned it up, reseated real good, bled the air out, and it seems to be working just fine now.

thanks
