There is a stone fireplace in this house and I’m not sure about what to do with it...
Let’s start at the top... there is a gap between the ceiling and the fireplace and that gap needs to be covered somehow... doing crown would be ideal but the stone is too oddly shaped and you would be able to see huge gaps if you look up... any tips on how to pull it off?
If not I’m thinking of putting a wood beam or a faux beam above the fireplace to hide the gap and end the crown at it....
Now the bottom... when installing the laminate flooring they did not undercut the fireplace.... I’m kind of at a lost in how to deal with it.... I can’t really run the baseboards because again the stone is too oddly shaped and there’s going to be upwards of 3 inch gaps between he baseboard and some parts of the fireplace...
What are some ideas of how I can tackle this? Trying to think out of the box here. I’m new at this and really want to do the best I can with this section. It’s been stumping me
