More or less 8 months ago replaced tools due to fire. In the process purchased several sets of Kobalt hand tools, including a set of ratchet wrenches. The first time utilizing a 7/16" wrench it locked up. Went low and was told if I didn't have a recipe couldn't return it, but if I returned the entire set, Lowes would exchange it for a new set.
The next day thinking that's crazy, I'll try to reason with lowes to exchange just the 7/16". I then looked in the tool department checking what Kobalt tool warranty said, low and behold reading the warranty "no hassle, free return, no questions ask". Today back at Lowe's with the entire set, nope can't do it, but we can "ship one to you (what if I need it now? I looked back on handtool purchases totally just over $3k.
Bottom line 1) 50% blame on Lowe's 2) 50% on kobalt. 3) This is a commitment "don't see doing business with Lowes which eliminates buying Kobalt tools.
Additionally 3 trips to Lowe's and the return desk provided me three (3) different answers/solutions. Today one of the "store mangers" was zero (0) help!
