No hot water....?

Hi everyone! I'm new here and didn't get the chance to read very many posts so I hope this isn't a repeat question.....but......

The hot water in my kitchen sink hasn't ever been as hot as in the bathrooms. As of today though I have no hot water in my kitchen (sink, dishwasher) and adjoining laundry room (washing machine). Both of my bathrooms, which are on the far side of the house, have hot water. I checked the valves under the sink and they are both (hot and cold) on all the way.

I really don't want to call the nosy landlord unless I absolutely have to.....any ideas?

Thanks ahead of time :)

When you say you have no hot water, does that mean that

1. No water at all comes out

or

2. The water comes out cold

?

Well, a kitchen faucet is usually pretty easy to replace with a crescent wrench and some plumbers putty. Depending on your faucet, sink, and cabinet design, you may need specialized tools... but they are seldom absolutely necessary in a kitchen.

However, this may violate you renter's agreement. And if there is a subsequent leak causing water damage, you may be liable for $1,000s in repairs. Plus it's like giving the landlord free money, that's probably the worst part! ;)

Wow... that's kind of odd.

Thanks for coming back and telling us the solution though... we hate to be left hanging.
