I purchased a sump pump check valve…like the one shown below. Sliding the rubber cuff onto the PVC is quite difficult. Can I use some sort of lubrication? I’m thinking either dish soap or silicone gel (used for o-rings). Any suggestions or tips? For servicing purposes, I would like to be able to remove this in the future.

yep. i have used soap, takes a while to wash away though. what else have you used ?
