liquid steel

IIRC--many years ago there was a product called "Liquid Steel".
It came in a "tooth paste" type tube and was gray in color.

Currently the only type of metal repair that I can find is a 2 part epoxy sold in blister packaging.

Does anyone remember "Liquid Steel" and if you do do you know a source for it?

TIA

Yes. But it is a catalytic mix like epoxy. For general use it is two tubes, mixed 50/50 something like JB Weld. I love the stuff. Devcon makes catalyst setting stuff from rubber hard to soft, hard stuff metal from minor to impossible to drill, and more.

The problem is it has to adhere to a surface. TG it's not like cyanoacrylate glue.

I found the data sheet HERE. Maybe contact Omega Industrial Supply.

But it's just another epoxy. Not even metal fillers.
I wouldn't figure it to be any better or worse than the dozen other epoxy's out there.
Project Farm (Youtube) did a thorough comparison of epoxys, if you really want to compare.
But I don't recall there was much difference between brands, except that the 24 hour epoxys seemed to perform a little better than the 5 minute epoxies.

Wrong. Devcon products and the like are industrial. There is a difference between Walmart and Grangers. Mold and die makers use this stuff. Not so much JB weld. But even JB weld is pretty good if you measure and mix it well.
