Hey,

I would like to install some laminate tongue and groove flooring on the wall as a kitchen backsplash. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with such a project.
Nail and PL the panels on drywall, or just PL adhesive will do the trick?

Not a great plan for several reasons.
Laminate expands and contracts. It should not be glued to anything.
Gets wet once and it starts to delaminate.

the wall in question is not near any water source (sink is in a island a few feet away). So it won't get wet at all.

I think I'm going to go with glueing and nailing. I just found this HomeDepot video, (youtube.com/watch?v=ShJ7s4NzdP8)

It seems pretty straight forward.

I see no problem with this provided you take a few precautions. I would use a silicone to glue it to the wall so it can still move. Don't install it tight to the cabinets and countertop. Give it 3/8" or so under the cabinet so it has a chance to expand without buckling. You can cover the gap with a matching molding trim.
