Per the pic, I'm framing out an island that is going on top of backerboard. The floor is a bit unlevel, sloping in a couple directions, both planes of the island. You can see the laser lines. The backer board is new and I'm unable to make the flooring perfectly level. This is a third story of a house built on pilings. It has settled but a bit unlevel. The sub floor is very robust.
Question: Do I make the island walls straight up and down (which will be slightly angled relative to the floor) or make the island walls perfeclty square to the floor? I'm assuming plumb walls so the top/stone countertop is level. One opening has cabinet drawers, the other a wine fridge.
If the walls are straight up and down, the wine fridge will then be angled inside. Is it normal to just shim the appliance, I suppose with the adjustable feet? Then the floor tile will not be parallel to the bottom of fridge. The long sides of the island will also have tile. If the top/countertop line is level and since the floor is not, the tile lines will also be messed up.
Thanks for the help.
