I was helping my dad paint his house. He was using a sprayer and he made a shield made our of illuminum so that he didn't get any on the windows and every so often he would go and spray it off in the grass. Is that bad?

I wash brushes, rollers and anything else I get covered in latex paint and all of that mess ends up in my grass and the grass just still keeps growing.
