Hello to all,

i uses some (30 yr clear) silicone that was maybe 6-7 Mo’s old. I used it last Monday afternoon and it’s not dried yet. It’s been in lo 60’s to mid-hi 80’s.

it’s still kind of sticky/greasy. Was wondering it it might have gone bad and something changed. Would trying a hair dryer help to determine if it’s going to dry or not? Thx

The tube had been opened previously but was the type w a tight fitting snap on cap.

I loaded it into the caulk-gun and could not get it to come out, even after inserting 3 screws in nozzle and trying to pull out the dried material. I cut off the nozzle almost all the way to the main body, squeezed trigger and it came out pretty easy. I applied it to the cord and left it outside [85 degrees] in the shade one day and one day in the sun...it was still greasy/sticky so I removed w alcohol and buying a new tube...thanks for your comments
